Born in Philadelphia and raised in Chester County, Andrew initially earned a Bachelor of Science in Film and Video at Drexel University. Upon graduation, he relocated to Los Angeles to embark on a career in film and television production. A transformative visit to the Napa Valley ignited a passion for viticulture and enology, prompting a shift into a career that celebrates creativity grounded in science. Andrew also recognized that wine, like the storytelling, is a common denominator in bringing people together.
Andrew earned a Master's degree in Viticulture and Enology from the University of California, Davis. Under the mentorship of Dr. Anita Oberholster, his thesis focused on comparing the viticultural and enological properties of four Petite Sirah clones, providing him with comprehensive insights into grapevine health and wine quality. Working harvest in Tuscany's Bolgheri region further deepened Andrew's understanding and appreciation for old world winemaking traditions. Most recently, Andrew served as Enologist and Production Manager for Sinegal Estate Winery in Napa, CA. In this role, he contributed to the production of ultra-premium vinifera wines, refining his skills in both vineyard evaluation and cellar operations.
“Returning to my East Coast roots was always the goal. The climate and terroir of the Mid-Atlantic can be both challenging and rewarding for a winemaker. I'm very excited for the opportunity to produce exceptional wines that honor this region's rich history and potential.” - Andrew Misialek, Winemaker
